The Lagos State Government on Tuesday imposed a 24-hour curfew on all
\nparts of the state from 4pm Tuesday, as the peaceful #EndSARS protest
\nturned violent.<\/p>\n
The Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said during a media briefing at
\nLagos House, Marina, that nobody, except essential service providers and
\nfirst responders, must be found on the streets.<\/p>\n
\u201cDear Lagosians, I have watched with shock how what began as a peaceful
\n#EndSARS protest has degenerated into a monster that is threatening the
\nwell-being of our society.<\/p>\n
\u201cLives and limbs have been lost as criminals and miscreants are now
\nhiding under the umbrella of these protests to unleash mayhem on our
\nState.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a government that is alive to its responsibility and has shown a
\ncommitment to the movement #ENDSARS, we will not watch and allow anarchy
\nin our dear state.<\/p>\n
\u201cI, therefore, hereby impose a 24-hour curfew on all parts of the State
\nas from 4pm today, 20th October 2020.<\/p>\n
\u201cNobody, except essential service providers and first responders, must
