Dangote Cement Plc says it has produced 398 millionaires, spread across<\/div>\n

different states of the nation, in its ongoing \u201cBag of Goodies Promo
\nSeason 2\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

The company made the disclosure in a statement signed on Monday\u00a0 by Mr
\nAnthony Chiejina, Group Head, Corporate Communications, Dangote
\nIndustries Limited.<\/p>\n

The Promo, which started on\u00a0 July 15, 2020, requires Dangote Cement
\nCustomers to retrieve scratch cards embedded with alphabets.<\/p>\n

The alphabets, when put together, should spell Dangote and it qualified
\nsuch customer to be a millionaire.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s aim is to give out one billion Naira to 1,000 customers.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, Mrs Funmi Sanni, Marketing Director, Dangote
\nIndustries Ltd., said the aim of the promotion was to reward loyal
\ncustomers by helping them recover more quickly from the effects of the
\nCOVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe intention of this promo is to improve the lives of our consumers
\nand customers because they are our backbone and we recognise that.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, to appreciate that fact, we packaged this promo in order for us to
\nreach out to them in our own way.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe understand the fact that our production process would not be
\ncomplete without the consumers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they are not there to pick up the product no matter how good the
\nproducts are, we will not continue to be in business.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur customers are the people that are keeping us in business and we are
\nrewarding them for their loyalty and saying that they can do more.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are making 1000 people millionaires and you can imagine how many
\nother people these lucky ones will impact,\u2019\u2019 she is quoted to have said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have advised the new millionaires earlier that as they receive their
\nalerts today, the money is meant to impact their lives and not to be
\nwasted on parties.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe money is meant for them to grow themselves, so that by next year
\nwhen we are coming back here, we will hear testimonies from persons who
\ngot one million naira and has made five million naira out of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have introduced them to our distributors so that perhaps, if they
\nare not yet in the cement business, they can start small as retailers
\nand before you know it, they are big and employers of labour,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, Mr Agoda Bright, a bricklayer in Sapele,
\nDelta, who received his N1m bank alert at the venue of the event,
\nexpressed happiness to be among the winners and thanked Dangote for
\nmaking him a millionaire.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod will bless Dangote for giving me this offer as I did not expect
\nthis before but today the Lord has done it for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cDangote cement has made me to be a millionaire today; I am a bricklayer
\nand while doing my work, I kept retrieving the scratch cards from the
\ncement bags and spelt Dangote with the card alphabets. That is how I
\nbecame a millionaire,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Also, Mr George Okoro, Regional Director, South-South Dangote Cement,
\nnoted that the promo was to reward Nigerians for their continued
\npatronage over the years for using Dangote cement.<\/p>\n

He added that the company remained committed to uplifting and raising
\nthe living standards of Nigerians as well as their financial stability.<\/p>\n

The Dangote regional director disclosed that apart from the one million
\nnaira given to winners, the company was also ready to give out one
\nbillion Naira to 1,000 customers.<\/p>\n

He added that other prices to be won included refrigerators, tricycles,
