The National Leader, All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Bola Tinubu,<\/div>\n

has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari for the prompt intervention
\nin rescuing kidnapped students of Kankara Government Science Secondary
\nSchool in Katsina State.<\/p>\n

Tinubu, in a statement on Saturday through his media aide, Mr Tunde
\nRahman, stressed the need for upgrading of the country\u2019s security
\ninfrastructure.<\/p>\n

Recall that over 300 schoolboys were abducted by suspected bandits in
\ntheir dormitory on Dec. 11.<\/p>\n

The APC leader called on the armed forces to renew themselves and put in
\nefforts to make not only the schools safe for students but also cities
\nand villages.<\/p>\n

He noted that no development could occur in a climate of fear,
\nuncertainty, and insecurity of lives and property.<\/p>\n

Tinubu also commended Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, and
\nthe armed forces for working tirelessly to secure the release of the
\nschoolboys.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe quick release of the schoolboys from their abductors had vindicated
\nthe president in his untiring efforts to rid the country of insecurity
\nand see the back of bandits and insurgents in the land.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe initial abduction of the over 300 Kankara schoolboys from their
\ndormitory in broad daylight was unsettling and raises a serious concern.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, their prompt rescue from their abductors is heart-warming.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt vindicates President Buhari in his untiring commitment and
\ndetermination to rid the country of insecurity and confront Boko Haram
\ninsurgents and bandits operating in some parts of the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He noted that the laudable effort must be sustained.<\/p>\n

\u201cI empathise with the agonised parents and relations of the abducted
\nschoolboys and rejoice with them over the release of their children from
\nthe jaws of the abductors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese boys must now be reunited with their families,\u201d he said. (NAN)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
