Air Peace, Nigeria\u2019s leading airline, has announced the launch of new<\/div>\n

domestic routes and resumption of suspended ones, as part of its route
\nexpansion drive and vision to interconnect several cities, the airline\u2019s
\nChief Operating Officer (COO) Mrs Oluwatoyin Olajide said.<\/p>\n

In a statement in Lagos, on Monday, Olajide said the airline would be
\nreceiving all its aircraft on overseas maintenance in February, hence
\nthe decision to launch the new routes as well as reactivate suspended
\nones.<\/p>\n

She added that the planned launch of the new routes was an effort to
\nunderscore the airline\u2019s strong resolve to meeting the air
\ntransportation needs of Nigerians, as well as to drive economic
\ndevelopment and foster unity amongst various parts of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you know, most of our aircraft are on maintenance in different parts
\nof the world but they are all returning in February.\u00a0 For us, it is
\ngreat news as this means the launch of new routes and the resumption of
\nroutes suspended consequent upon the COVID-19 outbreak,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Olajide emphasised that the new connections were also a testimony to Air
\nPeace\u2019s \u2018no-city-left-behind\u2019 initiative and unbridled determination to
\nprovide affordable access to safe and seamless connectivity across
\nNigeria and beyond.<\/p>\n

She stressed that the airline was constantly reviewing its route
\nnetwork, to reflect the air travel needs of the flying public, such that
\nit currently operates 16 domestic routes, five\u00a0 regional routes and two
\ninternational destinations, one of which is South Africa, launched in
\nDecember 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe airline also boasts of a fleet size of 26 aircraft and is steadily
\nexpanding its fleet as it expects to take delivery of its first Embraer
\n195-E2 aircraft this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new routes to be launched in February are: Enugu-Kano-Enugu,
\nEnugu-Asaba-Enugu, PHC-Kano-PHC, PHC-Kaduna-PHC, Ilorin-Lagos-Ilorin,
\nIlorin-Abuja-Ilorin and Ibadan-Abuja-Ibadan.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe suspended routes to be resumed are Kano-Owerri-Kano,
\nKano-Asaba-Kano, Lagos-Yola-Lagos and Abuja-Yola-Abuja,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
