Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says the inability of the All<\/div>\n

Progressives Congress (APC) to tackle insurgency, banditry and
\ncorruption will compel Nigerians to vote out the party in 2023.<\/p>\n

Governor Wike noted with the current economic woe of the country and
\nescalating banditry, it was obvious that Nigerians have realised they
\nmade a terrible mistake to have voted for the APC.<\/p>\n

The Rivers State governor stated this on Thursday shortly after
\ninspecting the Greater Interchange and Underpass being constructed by
\nGovernor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in Yola.<\/p>\n

Governor Wike, said he was impressed with the developmental stride of
\nthe Adamawa State governor. According to him, it was gladdening to note
\nthat similar feat were being replicated in the States governed by the
\nPeoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors.<\/p>\n

The governor declared that Nigerians were apparently unhappy with the
\nway the APC led government has mismanaged the affairs of the country.<\/p>\n

“Are Nigerians happy? The answer is no. If Nigerians are not happy, what
\nis the expected result that you intend to get? Obviously, Nigerians
\nwould want APC government not to govern them in 2023.”<\/p>\n

He stated that with the overwhelming infrastructural development taking
\nplace in all the PDP States which Nigerians can attest to, it will be
\nimpossible for the PDP not to win the 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n

“I believe that Nigerians are now knowing that they have made a mistake
\nand they want to correct the mistake by voting for PDP and no longer
\nAPC”<\/p>\n

Governor Wike said the latest ranking of Nigeria\u00a0 as 146th most corrupt
\ncountry in the world based on recently published Transparency
\nInternational Corruption Index report, was indicative that the APC
\nadministration claim of fighting corruption has been misleading.<\/p>\n

“What you see is vindictiveness. Today, if I want to leave PDP and go to
\nAPC, I will no longer be corrupt. The moment I remain in PDP, I’m
\ncorrupt. So corruption is based on the party you belong to. That is
\ntheir definition of corruption and that is why everybody is
\ndisappointed.”<\/p>\n

Governor Wike maintained that the\u00a0 country has never been divided and
\ninsecure\u00a0 the way it has been\u00a0 under APC leadership.<\/p>\n

The Rivers State governor explained that he was in Adamawa State to
\nthank Governor Fintiri\u00a0 for honouring the invitation of Rivers people to
\ncommission some projects recently. And\u00a0 to use the opportunity to see
\nwhat his counterpart is doing in Adamawa State.<\/p>\n

“I am shocked, overwhelmed with what I have seen. I was asking him where
\nhe was getting the money from. The kind of construction going on is as
\nif Nigeria economic problem does not affect Adamawa State. And that is
\nwhat we have always said, whatever opportunity you have, whatever
\nprivilege you have, you try to make your people happy by providing them
\nthe basic infrastructure.”<\/p>\n

Governor Wike urged the Adamawa State governor to remain focused on the
\ndelivery of dividends of democracy to his people and not be bothered by
\nthe antics of the opposition.<\/p>\n

“Don’t be distracted, don’t be bothered with what people will say.
\nContinue to focus on infrastructural development because that is what
\ncan drive the economy of Adamawa State.”<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
