A 35 year-old\u00a0 Kingsely Igwe of Nise community in Awka South Local
\nGovernment Area of Anambra state was has been arrested for stabbing his
\n31 year-old wife, Onyinye to death over allegation of infidelity.<\/p>\n
The tragic incident took place at 16 Dueze Street Otigba in 3-3 Area of
\nAnambra State where they are residing.<\/p>\n
It was gathered from their neighbours that the deceased had been having
\nmarital differences with other partners which sometimes results in
\nfights in their home, with the neighbours always intervene by separating
\nthem.<\/p>\n
However, this particular fight that led to stabbing her to death with
\nknife by the husband started around 2am in the morning when neighbours
\nare deeply asleep.<\/p>\n
The neighbours after discovering what happened, held the husband and
\ninvited the vigilante operatives in the area that handed him over to the
\npolice.<\/p>\n
The deceased was taken to Apex hospital at 33 junction where she was
\npronounced dead on arrival by the doctor due to multiple stab wounds all
\nover her body and she was deposited in the mortuary by the police while
\nthe husband is still in their custody.<\/p>\n

\nMohammed Anambra State Police Command confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n
He said, “On 4\/3\/2021 at about 4:am, Police operatives attached to 3-3
\nPolice Station arrested one Kingsely Igwe
\n‘m’, aged 35years of Nise in Awka South LGA but resident at Dueze Street
\nOtigba in 3-3 Area of Anambra State.<\/p>\n
He said the suspect allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be
\nascertained and attacked his wife one Oyinye Obi ‘f’ aged 31 years with
\na kitchen knife and inflicted multiple injuries all over her body.<\/p>\n
According to him, police detectives visited the scene and rushed the
\nvictim to Apex hospital for medical attention but was certified dead on
\narrival by a medical doctor.<\/p>\n
Mohammed said the corpse was\u00a0 deposited at the hospital’s morgue for
\nautopsy while the knife used in perpetrating the act was also recovered
\nand registered as exhibit.<\/p>\n
He said the Commissioner of Police, Monday Bala Kuryas has directed the
\nDPO to transfer the case to State CID, Awka, for discreet investigation
