{"id":7914,"date":"2012-12-30T23:15:11","date_gmt":"2012-12-30T22:15:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=7914"},"modified":"2012-12-30T23:15:11","modified_gmt":"2012-12-30T22:15:11","slug":"pump-price-wont-go-up-says-nnpc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/pump-price-wont-go-up-says-nnpc\/","title":{"rendered":"Pump Price Won&#8217;t Go Up Says NNPC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS) will not be increased in January, the Acting Group General Manager, Public Affairs of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Fidel Pepple, has assured.<\/p>\n<p>He gave the assurance on Sunday in Abuja while speaking with journalists, restating that the Federal Government had earmarked some money for fuel subsidy in the 2013 budget.<\/p>\n<p>Pepple also announced that the vandalised Ije-Ododo and Arepo pipelines in Lagos and Ogun had been restored.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can affirm to you that our engineers from the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company Limited (PPMC), have finally fixed the Ije-Ododo pipeline that was ruptured last Monday by pipeline vandals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoing forward, the good news for Nigerians is that we have resumed pumping petroleum products through the pipeline and system 2B is equally working after the restoration of the pipeline,\u201d the News Agency of Nigeria quoted the NNPC spokesman as saying on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>Pepple assured motorists that with the restoration of the Ije-Ododo pipeline and the NNPC system 2B pipeline, normalcy had been restored in the supply and distribution of petroleum products across the country.<\/p>\n<p>He said that pumping of the PMS had resumed in earnest to depots and tank farms in system 2B, spanning from Atlas-Cove in Lagos to Ilorin in Kwara.<\/p>\n<p>He described media reports that fuel scarcity and queues in some parts of the country might last beyond the New Year as \u201cmischievous and misleading<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS) will not be increased in January, the Acting Group General Manager, Public Affairs of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Fidel Pepple,&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":7916,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[17],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-7914","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-exclusive"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
