The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West has said that<\/div>\n
\n
\n

the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police,\u00a0 Babatunde Mobayo, must be
\nheld responsible for the killing of a police woman and two others
\nduring the House of Assembly bye-election in Ekiti East Local
\nGovernment area of Ekiti State today.<\/p>\n

In a statement by the party’s Zonal Director of Media and Publicity,
\nLere Olayinka,\u00a0 the Police Commissioner was accused of shielding
\ngovernment thugs,\u00a0 even after credible evidence of their criminal acts
\nwere presented to him.<\/p>\n

The party said it was sad that blood-letting always followed Fayemi’s
\nfootsteps whenever he is at the helm of affairs in Ekiti.<\/p>\n

“During Fayemi’s first tenure,\u00a0 it was in this same Omuo Ekiti that
\nMichael Ipinlaye and Kehinde Fajuyi were killed by his (Fayemi) thugs
\nwhile Foluso Ogundare was killed in Emure Ekiti and Ayo Murphy Jeje
\nand Juliana Adewumi were killed in Erijiyan Ekiti.<\/p>\n

“Also, during the 2019 local government elections in which only APC
\ncontested,\u00a0 one person was killed in Ikere Ekiti,” Olayinka said.<\/p>\n

Calling out the Police Commissioner, the PDP spokesperson said; “Sad
\nthat just because of a House of Assembly bye-election, a policewoman
\nwas killed in Omuo Ekiti today, by thugs unleashed on the people by
\nthe APC government of Dr Kayode Fayemi.<\/p>\n

“May be the Police Commissioner\u00a0 in Ekiti State, Mobayo Babatunde will
\nact now that one of his officers was killed in Omuo Ekiti today,\u00a0 by
\nFayemi’s thugs.<\/p>\n

“When the thugs sent to assassinate me and Dayo Akinleye invaded GNN
\nHotel in Ado Ekiti on October 24, 2020, and CCTV footages were made
\navailable to the police,\u00a0 nothing was done.<\/p>\n

“Today,\u00a0 the thugs have killed a police woman and two other people.<\/p>\n

“Let’s see what Ekiti State Police Commissioner will do this time
\naround.<\/p>\n

“And most importantly,\u00a0 let’s see if CP Mobayo will stop being
\ncomplicit in government sponsored attacks in Ekiti State by arresting
\nthose killers led by Dele Omojola (Marshall) who invaded GNN Hotel in
\nAdo Ekiti and attempted to kill myself and Hon Dayo Akinleye on
\nOctober 24, 2020.<\/p>\n

“As for us in the South-West PDP,\u00a0 the blood of that police woman and
\nthe two other people killed in Omuo Ekiti today,\u00a0 will be on the head
\nof CP Mobayo because he refused to act decisively when he should.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
