Brigadier General Charles Nengite who connived with two former Managing Directors of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, to defraud the agency of over N12billion through phony contracts, is going to be Court Martialed, a military source has told pointblanknews.com<\/a>.<\/div>\n

\nNengite was arrested, detained, and interrogated by Military authorities after Pointblanknews.com exposed how the military officer violated hisoath of office, joined ranks with Nsima Ekere and Nelson Brambaifa and his\u00a0sons, and looted the NDDC of Billions.<\/p>\n

A Military Court Martial is a court chaired by an Army General where erring officers are tried for crimes and either dismissed, demoted if found\u00a0guilty or freed if found not guilty.<\/p>\n

Sources told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a> that Nengite would certainly be found guilty\u00a0going by the amount of evidence found during his interrogation.<\/p>\n

According to military sources, Nengite could not explain or convince military interrogators the source of the amount of cash and properties discovered.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is going in for jurisdiction and he can\u2019t escape the hammer. He was just too greedy, and the Army won\u2019t tolerate such elements in her fold,\u201d a\u00a0military source told Pointblanknews.com.<\/p>\n

Ekere was replaced by Brambaifa as MD of NDDC while Nengite served both as\u00a0a Security Consultant seconded from the Army.<\/p>\n

While Nengite is awaiting Court martial by the Army, Nsima and the Brambaifas\u00a0are still roaming the streets of Nigeria as freemen.<\/p>\n

Only recently, David Brambaifa bought himself a brand-new Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth almost $400k cruising around Abuja with his new girlfriend, one Dabota Lawson.<\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com had reported that in three years, Brigadier General Nengite, seconded from the Army headquarters to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC got over N12 billion in contracts from the agency, wired $17million to his wife\u2019s account in the United States.<\/p>\n

Besides, the General connived with Christopher, son of a former Managing Director of the NDDC, Nelson Briambaifa, and laundered $5 million in adeal entered with MTN Nigeria, sources familiar with the deal disclosed.<\/p>\n

According to NDDC officials, Nengite, the Army General, was a Strategic Think-Thank member of the Commission\u2019s leadership, and helped Nsima Ekere and Nelson Braimbaifa, former Managing Directors, to loot the intervention\u00a0agency.<\/p>\n

One source disclosed that no sooner was Nengite seconded from the Nigerian Army to the NDDC, than top officials became confused on how to relate with the serving military officer. After chains of meetings, the leadership of the NDDC decided to designate him a Consultant. This, it was\u00a0gathered, was to be able to accommodate the General in the
\nCommission\u2019s financial books.<\/p>\n

Once designated Consultant, General Nengite used his position to bag several contracts ranging from emergency road repairs water hyacinth clearing jobs. In three years, he had collected N12 billion from unexecuted contracts, a source familiar with the deals told Pointblanknews.com<\/p>\n

Other sources confirmed that Nengite was MD Nsima Ekere\u2019s favourite at NDDC, hence getting paid for the unexecuted jobs never posed a problem.<\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com further gathered that prior to Ekere\u2019s exit to contest the 2015 governorship election in Akwa-Ibom state, a meeting wa held\u00a0to appraise his electoral chances, and the possible probe of his
\ntenure as MD of NDDC.<\/p>\n

At this meeting, top officials were alarmed when\u00a0 Nengite suggested that the best option was to burn down the NDDC headquarters and thus destroy all documents that might expose the humongous looting which characterized\u00a0Ekere\u2019s tenure.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis suggestion was bizarre. We were stunned that an officer of the law could come up with such devious suggestion to destroy an institution just to cover up looting. It was the most scandalous thing to hear,\u201d a source\u00a0told Pointblanknews.com.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo pay back Ekere\u2019s generosity, the General provided military support for the governorship candidate, as well as help procure arms for his politician friend\u2019s thugs to snatch ballot boxes and kill to ensure victory at all cost,\u201d added another top official, stressing, \u201cI\u2019m sure you can recall Ekere\u2019s leaked audio conversation with thugs days to the election\u201d.<\/p>\n

After Ekere\u2019s exit, Braimbaifa was named as Acting MD, Nengite had no problem worming his way into the new MD\u2019s heart. In no time, he again positioned himself as the think-thank chief of the NDDC, according to insiders\u00a0at the agency.<\/p>\n

Thereafter, the General befriended son of the new acting MD, Christopher, who doubled as his father\u2019s Chief of Staff. They struck a business\u00a0relationship.<\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com investigation revealed that Nengite and Christopher jointly registered a communications business with which they signed a deal with MTN to stream live videos on MTN carrier for MTN subscribers. The\u00a0deal reportedly gulped over over $5 million.<\/p>\n

In 2015, Nengite arrived in the U.S. for a programme at the U.S War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. In tow was his family. Upon completion\u00a0of his studies, the General returned to Nigeria leaving his
\nfamily behind in the U.S., close associates offered.<\/p>\n

Upon returning to Nigeria and resuming duties at NDDC, General Nengite began\u00a0wiring thousands of U.S Dollars to his wife\u2019s account in the U.S.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Nengite, who was yet to regularize her immigration papers and with no known job, started accumulating millions of US dollars in her bank account. Bank officials alerted officials of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, FBI, who swiftly moved in, according to sources.<\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com gathered that the investigation led to the discovery that the source of the over $17million was Brigadier General Nengite. \u201cFBI had no choice than to alert the Nigerian authority since he is a serving\u00a0officer of the Army,\u201d a source confirmed.<\/p>\n

They informed Pointblanknews.com that some senior officials who have been interrogated by Army investigators, have implicated Nengite who is currently being detained. He is expected to be court martialed, and handed\u00a0over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for
\nprosecution<\/p>\n

Highly cerebral, General Charles Dalo Nengite is a resource person on
\ncritical thinking for the following establishments: National Defence
\nCollege, University of Abuja, Nigerian Defence Academy, Defence
\nIntelligence College, National Open University of Nigeria, Army War
\nCollege Nigeria, and Air Force War College.<\/p>\n

He is also a resource person for the Nigerian Army College of Logistics,
\nNigerian Army School of Signals, Nigerian Army School of Mechanical and
\nElectrical Engineering, Naval War College, National Institute of Policy
\nand Strategic Studies, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Nigerian
\nArmy Resource Centre, Nigerian Army Armour School and the American
\nSociety for Industrial Security.<\/p>\n

Apart from being an authority in Creative Leadership, Critical Thinking
\nand judgment, he is a Strategist on Joint Operational Planning Process,
\nSupply Chain Management, Operational Level Planning Process and
\nNegotiations.<\/p>\n

General Nengite holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in
\nElectrical and Electronics Engineering from the Nigerian Defence
\nAcademy, Kaduna (1994) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in
\nStrategic Studies from the United State Army War College (USAWC) in
\n2016, where he distinguished himself and won several awards.<\/p>\n

He has authored four books on critical thinking and developed several
\nshort courses on management and problem solving.<\/p>\n

From Nembe council in Bayelsa State, he floored 380 other postgraduate
\nstudents to emerge top position at the U.S. War College (USAWC),
\nCarlisle, Pennsylvania in 2016, according to information obtained from
\nthe college website<\/p>\n

General Nengite\u2019s performance was the best by any foreigner in 38 years
\nin the college, the information added.<\/p>\n

In one of several letters conveying his choice for the various awards,
\nthe Commandant of the college, Maj.-Gen. William Rapp, described Mr.
\nNengite\u2019s performance as \u201carguably one of the best in the international
\nfellows programmes at the USAWC\u201d.
\nMr. Rapp also said at the graduation ceremony of the college that
\nNigeria should be proud of Mr. Nengite and his compatriot in the Masters
\nof Strategic Studies class.<\/p>\n

The breakdown obtained from the school\u2019s website indicated that at the
\ngraduation of the 2015 class, Col. Nengite bagged six awards for
\noutstanding performance in different courses.<\/p>\n

He earned the Distinguished Graduate award reserved for the top five
\nfellows in his class of 381 and also the Commandant\u2019s award for
\ndistinction in research.<\/p>\n

Nengite also received the USAWC recognition award for innovation in
\nSHARP \u2013 Sexual Harassment and Response Programme and articulated a
\nseminal paper \u2013 \u201cI am your friend campaign\u2019\u2019 \u2013 strategy under the SHARP.<\/p>\n

SHARP is considered of significant importance to the U.S. Army.
\nMr. Nengite also received the 2nd best speaker award in the speaking
\ncompetition in the 2016 class made up of 302 Americans and 79 other
\nnationals in 73 other countries.<\/p>\n

The Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, Gen. Mark Milley, who presided over
\nthe ceremony, told the audience that graduands of the college proceeded
\nto occupy strategic leadership positions.<\/p>\n

The USAWC was founded in 1901 to specifically cater for the strategic
\nleadership training needs of the U.S. military.<\/p>\n

Some of the prominent servicemen who had gone through USAWC are
\nPresident Muhammadu Buhari, Generals Collin Powell, Dwight Eisenhower,
\nGeorge Patton and Norman Schwarzkopf.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
