{"id":80432,"date":"2021-05-06T13:58:15","date_gmt":"2021-05-06T12:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=80432"},"modified":"2021-05-06T13:58:15","modified_gmt":"2021-05-06T12:58:15","slug":"gunmen-kill-2-police-inspectors-razed-down-obosi-police-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/gunmen-kill-2-police-inspectors-razed-down-obosi-police-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Gunmen kill 2 police inspectors, razed down Obosi police station"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1699012621578952274\" class=\"mail-message \">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"m#msg-f:1699013484758212626\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">Two police inspectors were killed by gunmen while Obosi Police Station was razed down late Wednesday night by yet unknown gunmen in Obosi, Anambra\u00a0State.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place few hours after the new Anambra state Commissioner\u00a0of Police, Mr Christopher Adetokumbo Owolabi assumed office<br \/>\nin the state.<\/p>\n<p>A reliable source in the area said the gunmen in their large numbers had stormed and attacked the station at about 11pm to 12.00hrs last night,<br \/>\nleaving two police Inspectors (names withheld) dead, while all the suspects\u00a0in the cell were freed before razing down the station.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the victims were killed inside non-functional filling station close to the police station when the murdered officers were\u00a0trying to repeal the attackers from gaining entrance to the<br \/>\nstation.<\/p>\n<p>The source said when other police officers on duty had noticed unusual movement\u00a0of the gunmen took to their heels giving the attackers free<br \/>\ntime to burn down the police station.<\/p>\n<p>When contacted, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenga\u00a0Tochi confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the Commissioner of police had ordered full investigation of\u00a0the matter to arrest the perpetrators for prosecution.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two police inspectors were killed by gunmen while Obosi Police Station was razed down late Wednesday night by yet unknown gunmen in Obosi, Anambra\u00a0State.
