{"id":80587,"date":"2021-05-10T15:08:45","date_gmt":"2021-05-10T14:08:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=80587"},"modified":"2021-05-10T15:08:45","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T14:08:45","slug":"insecurity-buhari-should-be-impeached-if-he-cant-deliver-says-northern-elders-forum-spokesman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/insecurity-buhari-should-be-impeached-if-he-cant-deliver-says-northern-elders-forum-spokesman\/","title":{"rendered":"Insecurity: Buhari Should be Impeached if He Can&#8217;t Deliver, Says Northern Elders Forum Spokesman"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1699378644610426555\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">The spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said President Muhammadu Buhari should be impeached if he cannot solve Nigeria\u2019s insecurity problem.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nSpeaking on AIT\u2019s \u2018Kakaaki\u2019 programme on Monday, which was monitored by\u00a0<a dir=\"ltr\" href=\"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1620740195866000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFYLEkieoopUb6TmhsB-sks37cALg\">Pointblanknews.com<\/a>, Baba-Ahmed said the nation cannot wait two more years for Buhari to address the issues of insecurity.<\/p>\n<p>He said those who have constitutional responsibility must realise that the country is in a dire state, and do something other than just talking and making promises.<\/p>\n<p>He said the second option is for citizens to get together and decide to do something.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe third option is that those leaders who are failing will recognize the fact that they are the problem, and they will resign because they clearly have nothing to offer in terms of leadership,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOr, as our democratic system provides, those with the responsibility to get them off, should impeach those who are failing.
