The alleged Second in Command to the neutralized IPOB\/ESN Terrorist leader Ikonso, Awurum Eze, has been arrested by security operatives in Aba, Abia State.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
A statement by Brig Gen Mohammed Yerima said, \u201cThe 48 years old Awurum Eze, a native of Umoneke Nta, Isiala-Mbano LGA, Imo State, had on the 4th of May 2021 escaped when operatives of Intelligence Response Team (IRT) stormed his village house in Isiala Mbano where he was hiding.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cIntensive manhunt was thereafter launched towards tracing and arresting him.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cHe was eventually apprehended\u00a0on Wednesday, 12 May 2022<\/a>, in Aba after weeks of unrelenting follow-ups by operatives.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cAwurum Eze is one of the main sponsors of the numerous killings in Imo State and has been on the wanted list of security agents for more than 3 months.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cMany of the arrested IPOB \/ESN terrorists had earlier mentioned him as their key sponsor, mastermind and Second in Command to late Ikonso.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccording to them, amongst all their leaders in Imo State, only Ikonso and Awurum have direct communication link with Nnamdi Kanu. He can be seen in several photographs posing with the fugitive terrorist leader, Nnamdi Kanu.<\/p>\n

\u201cInvestigation by the combined team of security operatives continues\u201d.<\/p><\/div>\n

\nMeanwhile the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the news by the Nigerian Army claiming that the Second-In-Command to killed Commander Ikonso, has been arrested, describing it as \u201ca blatant lie and a cheap propaganda to lay false claims to imaginary military prowess..\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement signed by IPOB\u2019s publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, and made available to\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0 declared that the said man was not an operative of ESN, adding that \u201cSuch a man is too old to be recruited into ESN let alone being Ikonso\u2019s Second-in-Command.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nEmma Powerful said: \u201cThat you ambushed Ikonso with the help of some traitors did not mean you have crushed ESN. Stop claiming what you have not done in your bid to win public accolades. If you arrest or kill Ikonso\u2019s Second-in-Command, we will not hesitate to admit it just the same way we did not deny the murder of Ikonso. We are not like Nigeria that lives in propaganda; we tell the truth always. So, stop harassing innocent Biafrans in the name of a manhunt for ESN personnel.<\/div>\n

\u201cThe Nigeria security agents should stop making a mockery of themselves. The arrest of innocent Biafrans and labeling them ESN operatives cannot make you overpower our gallant ESN operatives.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur background check revealed that the said man had issues with his traditional ruler who gave his contact to the security agents alleging that he belongs to ESN. He is not our own.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted further that \u201cWe are assuring them that whatever they do, they cannot win ESN in this fight for freedom.
