{"id":81190,"date":"2021-05-27T07:35:13","date_gmt":"2021-05-27T06:35:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=81190"},"modified":"2021-05-27T07:35:13","modified_gmt":"2021-05-27T06:35:13","slug":"how-sacked-aau-vc-illegally-promoted-wife-other-cronies-against-varsity-rules-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/how-sacked-aau-vc-illegally-promoted-wife-other-cronies-against-varsity-rules-panel\/","title":{"rendered":"How sacked AAU VC illegally promoted wife, other cronies against varsity rules \u2013 Panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m97700\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Findings by the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Special Visitation Panel have revealed how the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Ignatius Akhakhia Onimawo, wrongfully appointed and promoted his wife, Mrs. Janet Onimawo and other cronies, against the rules of the University pointblanknews.com reports.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal  \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe panel noted that due process was not observed in the conversion and appointment of Mrs. Janet Onimawo, urging that the University Management puts in place modalities to ensure that \u201cLecturers who were improperly ranked at the point of appointment\/transfer are given their proper ranks according to the qualification they possessed at point of entry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The panel, set up in October, 2020, was chaired by Prof. Ikponmwosa Omoruyi, a Professor of Law at the University of Benin. Prof. Lawrence Atsegbua, who is a member of the panel, is also a Professor of Law at the University of Benin and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).<\/p>\n<p>Others on the panel are Mrs. M. E. Ohiowele, Roland Ogbebor, Dr. J. O. Okovido and Venerable Osaze Egbenusi, as members, with Mrs. P. E.
