The Abia state commissioner of police, CP Janet Agbede has disclosed that eight of the attackers of the Abia state criminal investigation department office at Umuagu Umuahia were neutralized by the police force ,but expressed regret that two inspectors of police paid the supreme sacrifice.<\/div>\n

The Abia state command Public Relations Officer ,SP Geoffrey Ogbonna ,made this disclosure at the police command umuahia while briefing Newsmen on the ugly development in the state .<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He said the attackers had stormed the police formation located at Umuagu about 6 pm on Saturday shooting sporadically.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He pointed out that a reinforcement from the command headquarters, helped to fiercely engaged with the attackers which led to eight of them being neutralized, while according to him some of the attackers escaped with gun shot wounds and two vehicles were recovered from them.<\/div>\n

He revealed that the building was raised down following the detonation of an explosive through the back of the building.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He further said\u00a0 that suspects in detention were released and an exhibit car burnt but no fire arm was carted away.<\/div>\n

He however ,urged medical facilities\u00a0 owners within and outside the state to report to security agencies in the event that patients with suspected bullet wound come for treatment,even as he appealed to parents and guardians to warn their children and wards to desist from acts capable of truncating the peace and safety of the state.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
