{"id":81370,"date":"2021-05-31T10:37:43","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T09:37:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=81370"},"modified":"2021-05-31T10:37:43","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T09:37:43","slug":"ahmed-gulaks-death-meant-to-instigate-northerners-against-igbo-people-akeredolu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/ahmed-gulaks-death-meant-to-instigate-northerners-against-igbo-people-akeredolu\/","title":{"rendered":"Ahmed Gulak\u2019s death meant to instigate Northerners against Igbo people \u2013Akeredolu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1701263657793088250\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, says the killing of former presidential aide, Ahmed Gulak, \u201cis calculated to instigate Nigerians against each other, particularly Northerners, against the Igbo living outside the South-East\u201d.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nBut the governor stressed that it is important to confront the enemies of the people with a view to neutralising them.<\/p>\n<p>He said this in a statement titled, \u2018Ahmed Gulak: A Killing Too Senseless And Wicked\u2019.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Gulak was\u00a0 Monday murdered while he was on his way to catch a flight at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting in the statement, Akeredolu said, \u201cThe news of the death of an APC chieftain and former Special Adviser on Political Matters in the last Administration, Ahmed Gulak, in Owerri, Imo State, this morning, is very shocking and disturbing.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cThe details of the tragic incident remain sketchy. A press statement credited to the Imo State Police Command claimed that some bandits were responsible for the gruesome murder of a man who was a visitor to the State. This is unacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one murder too many. It is senseless and wicked. The perpetrators of this heinous act are enemies of this country. This contrivance is meant to mislead, confuse and destroy. It bears the unmistakable, despicable imprints of fifth columnists bent on setting the country on the path of conflagration. These criminals must not be allowed to succeed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to use this medium to express our solidarity with our brother Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma. We admonish him and other Governors in the South Eastern States to brace up, and confront the current security challenge to put an end to the bloodbath in the land. The enemies of the people always employ the weapon of fear to create disaffection in the polity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis cowardly act is calculated to instigate Nigerians against each other, particularly Northerners, against the Igbo living outside the South East. We must confront the enemies of the people with a view to neutralizing them. This is definitely not the time for political correctness.
