{"id":81642,"date":"2021-06-05T08:37:26","date_gmt":"2021-06-05T07:37:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=81642"},"modified":"2021-06-05T08:37:26","modified_gmt":"2021-06-05T07:37:26","slug":"catholic-church-bans-mbaka-from-partaking-in-political-matters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/catholic-church-bans-mbaka-from-partaking-in-political-matters\/","title":{"rendered":"Catholic Church bans Mbaka from partaking in political matters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m100312\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Catholic church has banned Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), from commenting on partisan politics.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal  \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Callistus Onaga, Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, in a letter to the priest also converted the adoration ministry to chaplaincy.<\/p>\n<p>Following the development, Mbaka will no longer solely oversee the activities of the ministry as its spiritual director, as making it chaplaincy, brings it under the control of the Enugu Diocese and gives the bishop the power to appoint a chaplain to oversee its operations.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The bishop further stated that he can appoint any ministerial officer \u201cto assist the chaplains to oversee the pastoral activities of the ministry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These directives were announced following Mbaka\u2019s resumption to church activities of the ministry which was suspended following his one-month private retreat.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Catholic church has banned Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), from commenting on partisan politics.
