\nAwka, Anambra state capital and some communities of the state are experiencing prolonged blackout as a result of loss of supply from the Transmission Company of Nigeria\u2019s (TCNs), 132KV line.<\/p>\n

Head, Corporate Communications, Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) Plc., Mr Emeka Ezeh explained that the current outage was a result of loss of supplies from TCN.<\/p>\n

“I wish to inform our esteemed customers in Awka and Ekwulobia, Anambra State that the power outage currently being experienced is as a result of loss of supply from the TCN 132KV line, which affected their Agu Awka and Nibo Stations.<\/p>\n

“This incident that occurred on June 2 adversely affected power supply to the entire Awka district, Neni and Agulu 33KV feeders in Ekwulobia District.<\/p>\n

“Consequently, the entire Awka District and Agulu, Nise, Awgbu, Aguluizuigbo, Nanka, Umuchu, Achina, Uga, Obodoukwu, Isuofia, Nkpologwu, Adazi Nnukwu, Adazi-Ani, Oraukwu, Nnokwa, Alor, Obeledu and Akwaeze.<\/p>\n

Others are Igboukwu, Oraezi, NAFDAC, Akpamkpisi, Agbadani, Eke Market, Jiodo, Igwe Nri, Nri Boys, Aguluezechukwu Town, Ula and Umuchiana.<\/p>\n

The rest include some parts of Ekwulobia, Ihuokpala, Nkolo; some parts of Oko Road, Agba, Ekwulobia Road, Eke Ekwulobia and some parts of Stadium Road, Ekekanaya, Ortom Place Hotel, and Bank Road all in Ekwulobia District.<\/p>\n

“As we await the restoration of supply by TCN, we sincerely regret the inconveniences this has caused to our esteemed customers.<\/p>\n

“I assure you that supplies will be restored as soon as the TCN team completes the maintenance.<\/p>\n

“EEDC remains committed to delivering improved services to our customers,” Eze affirmed.\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
