{"id":81816,"date":"2021-06-07T20:36:52","date_gmt":"2021-06-07T19:36:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=81816"},"modified":"2021-06-07T20:36:52","modified_gmt":"2021-06-07T19:36:52","slug":"deeper-life-redeemed-defy-twitter-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/deeper-life-redeemed-defy-twitter-ban\/","title":{"rendered":"Deeper Life, Redeemed defy Twitter ban"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1701935209615255241\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor William Kumuyi, says the church has branches across 100 countries and five continents hence it can tweet from anywhere in the world.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>Kumuyi said this on Twitter while reacting to the suspension of the social media platform by the Federal Government and a threat by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, that Nigerians still using Twitter would be prosecuted.<\/p>\n<p>However, Kumuyi said Deeper Life has branches across the world and could thus tweet from anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>He tweeted, \u201cIn view of the Twitter ban in Nigeria, please note that the content shared on this handle is targeted at a global audience in more than five continents and over 100 nations and we share the content from any of these locations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kumuyi\u2019s tweet came barely hours after the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, defied the Federal Government\u2019s order directing Nigerians to stop using Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Adeboye, who commands a huge following in Nigeria, said his church is present across the world and tweeting is in accordance with Article 19 of the United Nations universal declaration of human rights.<\/p>\n<p>The tweet read, \u201cThe Redeemed Christian Church of God is domiciled in more than 170 nations and territories.
