{"id":81944,"date":"2021-06-10T08:22:06","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T07:22:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=81944"},"modified":"2021-06-10T08:22:06","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T07:22:06","slug":"dont-pay-any-ransome-if-im-abducted-el-rufais-wife-warns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/dont-pay-any-ransome-if-im-abducted-el-rufais-wife-warns\/","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t pay any ransome If I&#8217;m abducted \u2013 El-Rufai\u2019s wife warns"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gs\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div id=\":qn\" class=\"ii gt\">\n<div id=\":qm\" class=\"a3s aiL \">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Hajia Asia El-Rufai, wife of Kaduna State Governor, says no ransom should be paid to her abductors in case she is kidnapped by bandits.<\/p>\n<p>She also said Nigerians must sacrifice to end banditry and kidnapping currently ravaging the North-West geopolitical zone of the country.<\/p>\n<p>El-Rufai\u2019s wife stated this in Kaduna on Wednesday at a peace and security workshop for Kaduna women organised by Equal Access International.<\/p>\n<p>The women were drawn from Chikun, Kajuru and Jema\u2019a local government areas of the state.<\/p>\n<p>She charged them to shun divisive narratives created by selfish politicians and work for the unity of the state.<\/p>\n<p>While arguing against the payment of ransom to bandits, Mrs. El-Rufai noted that she would prefer to die in the hands of her abductors if that would usher in peace in the country.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">She said, \u201cFor as long as you continue to pay ransom, it is like you are adding kerosene to fire, you are giving bandits, kidnappers money for ammunition to continue to haunt you.
