{"id":82631,"date":"2021-06-22T23:05:10","date_gmt":"2021-06-22T22:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=82631"},"modified":"2021-06-22T23:05:10","modified_gmt":"2021-06-22T22:05:10","slug":"senator-ayogu-eze-not-under-suspension-apc-chairman-nwoye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/senator-ayogu-eze-not-under-suspension-apc-chairman-nwoye\/","title":{"rendered":"Senator Ayogu Eze not under suspension\u00a0 \u2013 APC Chairman, Nwoye"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1703299753567810592\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said Senator Ayogu Eze, the party\u2019s governorship candidate in the 2019 general election is not in any form of suspension and that he is still the leader of the party in the state.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">In a letter to the APC National Chairman, His Excellency, Buni Mai Mala, the APC State Caretaker Chairman, Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye said the claim of suspension by Mr. Nwokedi Ugwoke, a one-time chairman of Sen. Eze\u2019s ward is untainable.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dr. Nwoye also said,\u00a0 &#8220;the former ward chairman has since been relieved of his position for anti party activities and therefore is not in any position to suspend anybody in the APC.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dr. Nwoye therefore asked the APC and the general public to ignore Mr. Ugwoke\u2019s mischief, which he said was being investigated by the party with a view to slamming appropriate sanctions on Mr. Ugwoke and his accomplices.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Describing the purported suspension as laughable and of no consequence, Dr. Nwoye accused the former ward officer of working with an unnamed opposition political party to destabilise the APC.The APC State Chairman said that the party is instead pleased with Sen. Eze, stating that &#8220;it is the party\u2019s implicit confidence in Sen. Eze that prompted the vote of confidence passed on him by the party leadership in the state, the Igbo-Eze North LGA Chairman, Desmond Ayogu and Sen. Eze\u2019s ward chairman, Nduka Obeta.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It will be recalled that the former chairman had circulated a misleading information, purporting to have suspended Sen.
