Some Youths have been arrested for wearing \u2018Buhari Must Go\u2019 T-shirts to a Sunday Service at Dunamis Gospel Church Headquarters in Lugbe, Abuja and handed over to the men of Directorate of State Services.<\/div>\n
\nA source who told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0through a text said, “UNBELIEVABLE: Security men at @DunamisGospel have arrested activists wearing\u00a0 #BuhariMustGo Tshirts to their church service, church security later handed over to DSS officials who are currently torturing them.<\/p>\n

“I thought Pastor @DrPaulEnenche was also preaching about justice! The five activists were driven away in a DSS Hilux van and two power bikes. Shame in the house of God!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“About 10 activists decided to attend Dunamis church in their #BuhariMustGo T-shirts. The church asked all first timers to come out for prayers. The patriotic citizens obeyed the clarion call from the Altar with their fully displayed BuhariMustGo shirt. They were immediately apprehended by the church security on their way out of the church and subsequently handed to the DSS. Kudos to the\u00a0 courageous activists for this creativity. I’m certain if the activists had worn a shirt inscribing “sai Buhari”, they would have ranked as Pastor Enenche’s new best friend.<\/div>\n

“Historically, even in revolutionary epochs, the church has always been one with the oppressive state. And this wretched\u00a0 trend has not changed and it’s not likely to change until we create a social system that consciously separates religion from the state.”<\/div>\n

When our correspondent visited Dunamis headquarters, Lugbe, Abuja to confirm the incident, all attempts to speak with the church administrative body proved abortive as protocol officers claimed they were having meetings hence would not be able to talk about the issue at the moment.<\/p>\n

However, a top church official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, as he was not permitted to speak on the issue confirmed the incident.<\/p><\/div>\n

\nHe said \u201cThose people sneaked into the church, I used the word sneaked because the church was not aware of their intention, no department in the church knew anything.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey even came out for altar call and before you know it we saw that they had \u2018Buhari must go\u2019 T-shirts and they were recording people making it seem as if the church planned the protest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had to hand them over to security operatives because we believe in three things. It is either they were sent in by agencies to make sure that the church is at loggerheads with the government or either make it seem like the church sponsored the protest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThird is even if they have a genuine protest, the church is not the right place to go. If there is a problem in the country, the duty of the church is to pray that God help our leaders. We have handed them over to the authorities for investigations.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
