{"id":83301,"date":"2021-07-07T11:03:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T10:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=83301"},"modified":"2021-07-07T20:05:37","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T19:05:37","slug":"dollar-videos-court-orders-ganduje-to-pay-daily-nigerian-jaafar-jaafar-n400000-each","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/dollar-videos-court-orders-ganduje-to-pay-daily-nigerian-jaafar-jaafar-n400000-each\/","title":{"rendered":"Dollar Videos: Court orders Ganduje to pay Daily Nigerian, Jaafar Jaafar N400,000 each"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">A Nigerian-based online news medium, Daily Nigerian and its publisher, Jaafar Jaafar, have requested a Kano State High Court to order the state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to pay N400 million to compensate for wasting their time and attempting to discredit their reputation and integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Pointblanknews.com reports that Ganduje, who took both defendants to court, over video clips allegedly showing the him collecting $5m bribe and gleefully stuffing the money given to him in his pocket, hence claiming damages for defamation, on Tuesday applied to discontinue the suit without giving any cogent reasons.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Counsel to the plaintiff, Offiong Offiong, SAN, Tuesday moved an application requesting the court to discontinue with the case of defamation filed against Jaafar Jaafar and his medium before the court.<\/p>\n<p>Offiong informed the court that the plaintiff reserve the unfettered right to approach the court to ask it to discontinue the case, urging the court to strike out the suit.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In his response, Jafar Jafar through his counsel,\u00a0 barrister U U.
