{"id":83558,"date":"2021-07-12T23:50:20","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T22:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=83558"},"modified":"2021-07-12T23:50:20","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T22:50:20","slug":"court-fixes-oct-18-for-senators-n1bn-libel-suit-against-lauretta-onochie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/court-fixes-oct-18-for-senators-n1bn-libel-suit-against-lauretta-onochie\/","title":{"rendered":"Court fixes Oct 18 for senator\u2019s N1bn libel suit against Lauretta Onochie"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting in Abuja has fixed October 18, 2021 for the hearing of a suit against Lauretta Onochie, a media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Yusuf Halilu stated this when the case brought before it by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, Peter Nwaoboshi, came up on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>When the matter was called, Onochie, also a nominee for post of National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, was absent from court.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, Nwaoboshi\u2019s lawyer, A.A.
