There are indications that the Federal Government is assembling critical evidence that will make the trial<\/span>\u00a0of Yoruba secessionist leader Sunday Igboho smooth sailing following his arrest and detention by the government of the Benin Republic.<\/div>\n

Among the critical pieces of evidence are dozens of \u2018exclusive\u2019 videos where Igboho allegedly issued inciting statements that may aid Nigeria in filing treasonable and felony charges against self-appointed Yoruba\u00a0political leaders<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0video<\/span>\u00a0clips, it was gathered, would be used by some security and intelligence agencies in prosecuting Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho to ensure the self-acclaimed Yoruba secessionist leader is indicted in the Court.<\/p>\n

Igboho, a Yoruba Secessionist was arrested at an airport in the Benin Republic while fleeing Nigeria to Germany. The \u2018Yoruba Nation\u2019 lead advocate was declared wanted by the\u00a0Department of State<\/span>\u00a0Services,\u00a0DSS<\/span>.<\/p>\n

His house in Ibadan was raided during a clandestine operation by a combined team of security operatives and men of the\u00a0DSS, in June.<\/p>\n

A top-ranking operative of one of the intelligence agencies disclosed that the\u00a0video\u00a0clips will suffice as their evidence in nailing Igboho who is yet to be extradited back to Nigeria from Cotonou, the capital of Benin before a law court.<\/p>\n

Apart from behind the scene scheming of security agencies, the\u00a0Attorney General<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0the Federation<\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0Minister<\/span>\u00a0of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami is yet to unveil the Ministry\u2019s strategies towards the prosecution of Igboho.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson to Justice\u00a0Minister, Dr UMar Jibrilu Gwandu told PRNigeria that \u201cIt is a legal,\u00a0judicial<\/span>\u00a0and the discretionary issue over which the\u00a0Attorney Generalconsider the public interest and the interest of justice to decide. The\u00a0Attorney General\u00a0of\u00a0the Federation\u00a0is considering and I believe is not bound by time limitations in exercising that discretion and considering the beneficial approach.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sources say some of\u00a0the videos<\/span>\u00a0are in threats\u2019 to Harm Yoruba Leaders over the Oduduwa Republic and Elections in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

There is also a\u00a0video\u00a0where Igboho was mocking the death of Pastor Adeboye\u2019s son and praying to God to kill wives and children of Leaders that do not support the Yoruba Nation.<\/p>\n

In another\u00a0video, Sunday Igboho Dared Soldiers, Police,\u00a0DSS\u00a0operatives when they attempted to arrest him as he removed his Shirt. His followers too were shown interrogating a man they claimed they captured as a\u00a0DSS\u00a0Guy\u2019 at Osogbo Yoruba Rally.<\/p>\n

Another\u00a0video\u00a0shows Igboho directing his follower to forcefully open borders for smugglers with a follow-up\u00a0video\u00a0showing his militias invading Idiroko Border and snatching guns from Nigeria Custom Officers.<\/p>\n

Apart from boasting of acquiring Guns and ammunition to fight security personnel, he also\u00a0threatened<\/span>\u00a0that \u201cif 1,000 policemen invade my house, hardly will 100 return.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is also a\u00a0video\u00a0of a live broadcast by one \u2018Lady K\u2019 when\u00a0DSS\u00a0stormed Igboho\u2019s residence. The lady could be\u00a0heard<\/span>\u00a0calling on Yoruba Odua Warriors to come to their rescue and attack the security operatives from the back.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0DSS\u00a0later paraded Lady K, Odua Yoruba Nation Warriors, Arms and Charms recovered from Igboho residence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
