{"id":84036,"date":"2021-07-25T23:43:06","date_gmt":"2021-07-25T22:43:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=84036"},"modified":"2021-07-25T23:43:06","modified_gmt":"2021-07-25T22:43:06","slug":"there-wont-be-bickering-over-choice-of-my-successor-says-umahi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/there-wont-be-bickering-over-choice-of-my-successor-says-umahi\/","title":{"rendered":"There won\u2019t be bickering over choice of my successor, says Umahi"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1706297521668269545\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Governor of Ebonyi State David Umahi on Sunday, said that there will not be any bickering over the choice of his successor in 2023.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nUmahi stated this at Christ Embassy Church, Abakaliki, during a special thanksgiving service to mark his 58th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>The governor expressed confidence that anytime he called leaders in the state to choose his successor, there would not by any fight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will, however, be fight when I single-handedly choose the person who will succeed me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone who wants to manipulate me should first manipulate God because He is the one that is protecting me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, all genuine successes come from God, adding that anyone seeking to succeed him must depend on Him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you put all your faith in God and help the needy, you will have less time for distractions.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cEverything happening in the state in terms of infrastructural development, among others, is not through man\u2019s power but that of God,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Umahi thanked God for allowing him to witness his 58th birthday and commended those who honoured him during the celebration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI testify that prayers and the wonderful support from my family, religious leaders and well-wishers, among others, have made me achieve success in life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to completing all on-going projects in the state and massively empowering our people before leaving office,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Eunice Oyeyemi, who presided over the church service, urged people to impact positively in the lives of others for a better society.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople should appropriately utilise the opportunities to live fulfilled lives on earth,\u201d she said.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governor of Ebonyi State David Umahi on Sunday, said that there will not be any bickering over the choice of his successor in 2023.
