{"id":85211,"date":"2021-08-25T08:53:07","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T07:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=85211"},"modified":"2021-08-25T08:53:07","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T07:53:07","slug":"buhari-is-the-worst-president-when-it-comes-to-security-governor-ortom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/buhari-is-the-worst-president-when-it-comes-to-security-governor-ortom\/","title":{"rendered":"Buhari is the worst President when it comes to security \u2013 Governor Ortom"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has described the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the worst ever in terms of security.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nGovernor Ortom who spoke as a guest on a TV programme\u00a0 condemned President Buhari\u2019s open grazing policy, even as he accused the president of openly trying to \u201cfulanize\u201d Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cMr President is pushing me to think that what they say about him, that he has a hidden agenda in this country, is true because it is very clear that he wants to \u2018fulanise\u2019 but he is not the first Fulani president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShagari was a Fulani President, Yar\u2019 Adua was a Fulani President and they were the best in (the) history. But President Buhari is the worst President when it comes to issues of security and keeping his promises.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo back to 2015, what did he say, human rights issues, he talked about press freedom, about the economy, corruption, security, tell me one that Mr President has achieved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has achieved some level of development in other sectors but these prominent things that are concerns to Nigerians and we are all worried about.. tell me when Mr. President has come out to address them. Is it corruption, we are worse in the history of this country\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ortom criticized the president\u2019s insistence on open grazing when most of the states had agreed that ranching was the best solution.<\/p>\n<p>The governor said it was apparent to all that open grazing would only worsen insecurity in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Mr President respects the law, the Land Use Act gives governors the power to preside over land administration on behalf of the people that they govern.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it is amazing and I am surprised to hear this coming from Mr. President as if he doesn\u2019t have an Attorney General, or Lawyers around him to advise him. I think Mr. President was misquoted or he did it out of error.
