{"id":85382,"date":"2021-08-30T17:20:15","date_gmt":"2021-08-30T16:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=85382"},"modified":"2021-08-30T17:20:15","modified_gmt":"2021-08-30T16:20:15","slug":"air-peace-extols-obianos-legacies-promises-aviation-academy-near-anambra-airport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/air-peace-extols-obianos-legacies-promises-aviation-academy-near-anambra-airport\/","title":{"rendered":"Air Peace extols Obiano\u2019s legacies, promises aviation academy near Anambra Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1709532208002579628\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chairman, Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema, has announced the establishment of an aviation academy near the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri in the Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nOnyema stated this after an inspection tour of the facilities on Monday in company of the state governor, Willie Obiano .<\/p>\n<p>He said the state government had concluded plans to partner Air Peace for the academy and an aviation maintenance plant at the airport.<\/p>\n<p>He said he had started procuring Diamond flights which would be used in training.<\/p>\n<p>Onyema attributed the partnership to the legacies that Obiano had attracted to the state; especially, the airport, which he said would open up limitless opportunities to the state.<\/p>\n<p>He said he had finalised arrangements with a former Director-General of Aviation, Mr Benjamin Adeleka, an Aviation Engineer, to float the academy.<\/p>\n<p>He said , \u201cIt will be the best flying school in Africa. Already, Air Peace to date has produced no fewer than 50 qualified aviation engineers that can comfortably sign the departure of every flight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndeed, the prompt delivery of the airport has now become one of the best things to have happened in Anambra. I know it is going to be one of the best airports in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told the naysayers that the president will approve the airport to make it an international airport. It is turning out to be one of the airports to receive the fastest approvals of its facilities and installations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is already showing in the speed with which the Federal Government is cooperating with Anambra State to ensure that the state is known for commercial activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a befitting Airport that is ready to start receiving commercial activities. I am sure before the end of the year, every approval must be given to the airport because the FG is interested in pushing commercial activities into the South-East<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be a gateway into the country; it is better than the other airports in so many countries. Every facility you can think of in aviation is here now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a befitting legacy through the Government of Obiano. It will empower West Africa not just Anambra State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce Federal Government gives approval Air Peace will deploy flights that will be operating from here to the west African countries.<\/p>\n<p>Onyeama added,\u201dBecause of the business activities in Anambra, residents of Onitsha will fly from here to China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis facility will create millions of jobs for Anambra people and the neighbouring states. All of us who are entrepreneurs will look inwards and bring our investment home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTravel Agencies, hotels will come in addition to other businesses.
