Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Governor of Kano State, has cautioned members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against the lingering crisis within the party, stressing that he has no hands in the internal rancour.<\/div>\n

\nKwankwaso warned that the present crisis would weaken the PDP and possibly tear the party apart.<\/div>\n
\nSpeaking with BBC Hausa on Friday, Kwankwaso said he is particular about the party returning to power in 2023.<\/div>\n
\nHe lamented that the crisis rocking PDP was inflamed by those \u201cafter leadership\u201d of the party.<\/div>\n

According to Kwankwaso: \u201cNow the strength of the party has reduced and in the end what will happen is that it will tear us apart.<\/div>\n
\n\u201cYou see the result will not help us since we do not have a president and we do not have many governors.<\/div>\n
\n\u201cPeople like me have nothing to do with the crisis. I\u2019m after what will bring development to people; every good leader should focus on that.<\/div>\n
\n\u201cThe party chairman has only one month left. I think it\u2019s better to wait so that we can emerge stronger.<\/div>\n
\n\u201cBut the crisis is heightened by those who are after leadership. They are not doing it for the betterment of their people.\u201d<\/div>\n
\nThere has been contention over the stool of the National Chairman of the PDP, currently occupied by Uche Secondus.<\/div>\n
\nRecall that a Rivers State High Court had ordered Secondus to vacate the office of the PDP National Chairman.
\nBut, Justice Nusirat. I. Umar, a vacation Judge of the Kebbi State High Court, had reinstated Secondus back to his office.<\/div>\n
\nHowever, a High Court in Cross River State had ordered an ex parte motion stopping Secondus from parading himself as PDP\u2019s National Chairman again.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
