{"id":85639,"date":"2021-09-06T15:16:55","date_gmt":"2021-09-06T14:16:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=85639"},"modified":"2021-09-06T15:16:55","modified_gmt":"2021-09-06T14:16:55","slug":"ohanaeze-bulkachuwas-hate-speech-against-the-igbo-shows-mindset-of-killers-in-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/ohanaeze-bulkachuwas-hate-speech-against-the-igbo-shows-mindset-of-killers-in-government\/","title":{"rendered":"Ohanaeze: Bulkachuwa\u2019s hate speech against the Igbo \u2018shows mindset of killers in government\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1710161212883971202\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">For allegedly saying Ndigbo in Nigeria deserve deaths and elimination because \u201cthe South-East harbours criminals, rebels and arsonists\u201d, the apex pan-Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has described the Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, as a bad representative of his people in the National Assembly.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nIt also called on Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, to \u201creprimand Bulkachuwa publicly as a deterrent to some others who do not understand their oath of office and allegiance to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nOhanaeze Ndigbo, in a statement on Sunday signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Alex Chiedozie Ogbonnia, condemned what it termed as \u201chate speech\u201d against the Igbo nation by Bulkachuwa.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nIt also described Bulkachuwa\u2019s statement as \u201ccaustic and inflammatory attacks against the entire people of the Southeast.\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe statement reads: \u201cIt is shocking and unbelievable that a senator and chairman of a strategic committee in the Senate, Foreign Affairs, could make such an incendiary attack against the Igbo people without any provocation whatsoever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Igbo demand for the Presidency of Nigeria is within their rights under the laws of the land. They have not breached any section of the constitution by making such demands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is, therefore, a gross gratuitous insult for Senator Bulkachuwa to rain such unguarded invectives against a major region in the country. I have tried to obtain some internet facts on Bulkachuwa, the only significant information on him is that on June 10, 2020, his constituents in Bauchi commenced a recall process on him; and no more.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cOhanaeze Ndigbo condemns Bulkachuwa unreservedly for spewing such hate speech on a major Nigerian ethnic group. It is highly inconceivable that a senator and husband of a highly placed judicial officer, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, would harbour such evil wish for a significant section of Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis goes to show clearly the wicked mindset of some people in power who have no other objective but to turn the country into killing fields in the pursuit of hidden ethno-religious agenda.
