{"id":85857,"date":"2021-09-12T16:06:53","date_gmt":"2021-09-12T15:06:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=85857"},"modified":"2021-09-12T16:06:53","modified_gmt":"2021-09-12T15:06:53","slug":"breaking-several-bandits-killed-as-they-flee-into-military-camp-in-niger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/breaking-several-bandits-killed-as-they-flee-into-military-camp-in-niger\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Several Bandits Killed as They Flee Into Military Camp in Niger"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1710706770994992960\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bandits trying to escape the ongoing military operation in Zamfara and Katsina states met their waterloo in the hands of soldiers at Maganda village near Allawa in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe bandits, who were said to be escaping through the notorious Allawa Forest in their hundreds, ran into the military camp stationed at Alawa, and engaged the soldiers in a serious gun battle for several hours.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Pointblanknews.com gathered that one soldier was reportedly missing at the end of the gun battle.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It was also learnt that scores of the bandits were neutralised and several others escaped into the forest with bullets injuries.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Our correspondent gathered that the bandits who escaped with serious bullets wounds are trailed by the soldiers as the entire forest is being combed.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It was gathered that about six machine guns and a number of AK-47 riffles and bags of ammunitions were recovered from the bandits.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A source at Allawa community said, \u201cIn fact from the dead bodies that we saw, they look like foreigners, all of them are carrying long hair like women. They don\u2019t have resemblance of Nigerians and they don\u2019t know the terrain that was why they ran into the soldiers.
