\nA group of stakeholders from the nine states of the Niger Delta region has described as propaganda and misleading the statement that the immediate past Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd.) is planning to turn ex-militants into entrepreneurs, while insisting that the PAP boss lacks the capacity to achieve such milestone.<\/p>\n

The Stakeholders also said that since the inception of the Amnesty Programme, Chief Kingsley Kuku remains the best administrator whose positive impact can still be felt by every home in the Niger Delta region.<\/p>\n

The Stakeholders, in a statement issued in Yenagoa and signed by Commander Joseph Oyinkuro challenged members of Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), and other 5leaders and elders of the Niger Delta to name one achievement of Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd.) during the past one year as Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).<\/p>\n

PANDEF had in a recent statement described Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd.), the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) as the best Amnesty Boss ever.<\/p>\n

But the stakeholders cautioned the Niger Deltans against believing the allege false and misleading statement issued by Dikio as reported by the media that he wants to turn ex-militants into entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay we remind the people of the Niger Delta that the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Mohammed Monguno (rtd.) who oversees the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) refused to include Col. Milland Dixon Dikio\u2019s name as a signatory to the Amnesty bank account, therefore for the past year Col. Dikio (rtd.) was like a \u201cglorified administrative secretary\u201d where he prepares and approves all documentations for payment at the Amnesty office and hand the prepared documents over to the close allies of the NSA whom the NSA personally appointed to approve and pay Amnesty funds, Brigadier General Jafara Mohammed (rtd.) as DFA and Ambassador Aminu A. Lawal the de-facto Chairman. Col. Dikio (rtd.) is not allowed by the NSA to sign any funds from the Amnesty coffers.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, in order for Col. Dikio (rtd.) to get any financial deals done for himself, he had to include the interest of the NSA and Brigadier General Jafara Mohammed (rtd.) DFA and Ambassador Aminu A. Lawal the de facto Chairman, and we all know that the aim of these individuals is to terminate the Amnesty Programme before the commencement of the 2023 Presidential campaign in 2022.\u00a0 Therefore why should anyone with common sense believe that the NSA and the committee whose aim is to terminate the Amnesty Programme will turn ex-militants into entrepreneurs when they have not done same to their people in the northern region”, the statement reads.<\/p>\n

While berating the position of PANDEF, Commander Oyinkuro said,\u00a0 \u201cCan these people that are worshipping Col. Dikio (rtd.) as their god tell us how many empowerment programmes and the beneficiaries Col. Dikio (rtd.) has done in his one year in office? How many students has Col. Dikio (rtd.) sent for vocational and degree training both foreign and domestic during his one year in office? The short answer is none of the above, except paying the recurrent monthly stipends to ex-militants which anyone with less than a School Certificate can perform. They know that they cannot stop the monthly stipends payments to ex-militants because ex-militants will stop the production of oil and gas from the region and billions of dollars in revenue will be lost.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRegardless of anyone\u2019s personal feelings or opinion about Hon. Kingsley k. Kuku, let\u2019s give credit where credit is due. There has been no Amnesty Boss that can be compared to the reign of Kingsley Kuku. He sent Ijaw sons and daughters, and people from all over the Niger Delta region to the best institutions in the world, Samsung South Korea, Lufthansa training Germany, Oxford, Cambridge, Virginia, Massachusetts, Georgia, Alabama, South Africa and all over the world. Many people might not know this, but as at today, hundreds of Ijaw sons and daughters are working in some of the most prestigious companies and educational institutions across Europe, the United States, Asia, the African continent and surprisingly Australia due to the vision of Hon. Kingsley K. Kuku.”<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
