{"id":86263,"date":"2021-09-23T17:43:26","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T16:43:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=86263"},"modified":"2021-09-23T17:43:26","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T16:43:26","slug":"breaking-ortom-to-buhari-i-will-never-shut-up-youve-failed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/breaking-ortom-to-buhari-i-will-never-shut-up-youve-failed\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Ortom to Buhari: I will never shut up, you\u2019ve failed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1711708203110899936\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Benue State Governor,\u00a0 Samuel Ortom on Thursday, says he will never keep quiet or stop talking even as he accuses\u00a0 President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, of trying to silence every dissenting voice.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nOrtom, who said he would never be cowed, maintained that the All Progressives Congress, APC, Government had failed in every indices.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Benue Governor made the assertion in Enugu during an event organized by the Radio Nigeria chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said the Government was busy fighting perceived opposition while at the same time looking the other way amid mindless killing and maiming of Nigerians by Herdsmen.<\/p>\n<p>Ortom said, \u201cThe present administration at the centre has adopted the approach of intimidation of those who dare to voice out their frustrations and concerns over growing insecurity and marginalization.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cBut I, Samuel Ortom, will never keep quiet as long as injustice and marginalization prevail in the affairs of our country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;I uphold the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior when he said and I quote: \u2018If peace means accepting second class citizenship, I don\u2019t want it. If peace means keeping my mouth shut in the midst of injustice and evil, I don\u2019t want it. If peace means being complacently adjusted to a deadening status-quo, I don\u2019t want peace.
