{"id":87029,"date":"2021-10-14T07:43:23","date_gmt":"2021-10-14T06:43:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=87029"},"modified":"2021-10-14T07:43:23","modified_gmt":"2021-10-14T06:43:23","slug":"apc-recruiting-deadwood-from-apga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/apc-recruiting-deadwood-from-apga\/","title":{"rendered":"APC Recruiting Deadwood From APGA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m12655\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has dismissed the defection of Dr Nkem Okeke, the Deputy Governor of Anambra to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as inconsequential.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal  \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Okeke was formally presented to President Muhammadu Buhari by Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo at the State House, Abuja on Wednesday.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In a statement issued in Awka by Mr Tex Okechukwu, APGA National Publicity Secretary, the party said the defection was long expected.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to APGA, the deputy governor had thought that the governor and the party were going to hand over the governorship ticket of the party to him on a platter.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWhen that didn\u2019t happen, he started behaving abnormally, even to the point of insubordination and dereliction of duties,\u201d it claimed.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>APGA said the deputy governor left the party without formally notifying the party or the state governor, adding that the move was uncalled for, ill-timed and ill-advised.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to the statement, the governor had always treated his deputy with respect, love and consideration.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>APGA called on party members to remain united and ensure victory in the Nov. 6 governorship election.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It called on Gov.
