{"id":87228,"date":"2021-10-19T21:20:28","date_gmt":"2021-10-19T20:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=87228"},"modified":"2021-10-19T21:20:28","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T20:20:28","slug":"tambuwal-urges-army-to-review-military-operations-strategies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/tambuwal-urges-army-to-review-military-operations-strategies\/","title":{"rendered":"Tambuwal urges Army to review military operations strategies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m13734\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has urged the Nigerian Army to review the strategies of their military operations.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal  \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nTambuwal stated this when the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House on Monday 18 October 2021.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement by the Army Director of Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, titled, \u2018Governor Tambuwal reiterates commitment to support NA in tackling insecurity\u2019, released on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor stated that the recent attacks on Goronyon village of the state was quite disheartening and therefore informed the need to review strategies of military operations in the zone to prevent a reccurrence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe further called for collective effort among citizens and security agencies to fish out perpetrators of heinous crimes in the society,\u201d the statement partly read.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nIt continued, \u201cHe cautioned the public not to shield any one supporting banditry, especially their informants and logistics suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe also called on the Federal Government to inject more personnel and resources to make operations much more easier for the security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn his remarks, the COAS, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya commended Governor Tambuwal for his continuous support to the NA and urged him not to relent on his effort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe assured that the NA will not disappoint the government and people, as effort is ongoing to reorganise and rejig the operations in the Northwest.
