{"id":87288,"date":"2021-10-20T15:27:27","date_gmt":"2021-10-20T14:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=87288"},"modified":"2021-10-20T15:27:27","modified_gmt":"2021-10-20T14:27:27","slug":"army-rewards-military-officer-who-dehumanized-nysc-member-ezeiruaku-fidelia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/army-rewards-military-officer-who-dehumanized-nysc-member-ezeiruaku-fidelia\/","title":{"rendered":"Army &#8216;Rewards&#8217; Military Officer Who Dehumanized NYSC Member, Ezeiruaku Fidelia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1714148825659632877\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Several weeks after Ezeiruaku Ifeyinwa Fidelia, a female corps member who was publicly humiliated and dehumanized by a female <span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD10\">military officer<\/span>, justice as noticed by DAILY POST, seems to be far away from her.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Several organizations and individuals, including the Minister of Women Affairs,\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD12\">Pauline<\/span>\u00a0Tallen, who had earlier promised to personally take the\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD5\">bull<\/span>\u00a0by the horns by seeking for justice, seem to be dragging their feet at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>This was lucidly noticed in a\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD9\">letter<\/span>\u00a0drafted by her to a popular radio station where she decried the way and manner she has been abandoned to her fate.<\/p>\n<p>Captioned \u201cNothing has happened since reporting my maltreatment to the military authorities\u201d, she expressed sadness that instead of allowing the said female officer to face the wrath of the law, she was rewarded by allowing her to embark on a three-week course to Jaji in Kaduna State.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, \u201cAfter the incident, Lieutenant Chika Viola went for a three-week course in Jaji, Kaduna state, adding that \u201cI know that once we end our service year, and I am not here again, the case will die.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which ought to assist her in pursuing her case, according to her \u201cdid not come to\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD1\">check<\/span>\u00a0on me\u201d stressing that \u201cthey did not even ask to know the corper they did this to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST also noticed that pressures have begun to be mounted on Fidelia to drop the case, as she said \u201cthe NYSC now called me and they were saying did I write through them before going to\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD6\">get a lawyer<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Stressing how they have begun to\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD4\">arrange<\/span>\u201cthings\u201d against her, the NYSC, according to her\u00a0letter\u00a0\u201csaid I should bring down the case\u201d adding that \u201cthey gave me a book and biro and asked me to write that I have withdrawn the case and that I should write formally through them.\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD8\">I left<\/span>\u00a0them and went away. I didn\u2019t write anything and didn\u2019t withdraw the case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fidelia, who said she has made up her mind to tread every legitimate\u00a0<span id=\"m_-1586668194893384226IL_AD11\">path<\/span>\u00a0to seek justice, said \u201cI am suing Lieutenant Chika Viola and the army authorities.
