{"id":87432,"date":"2021-10-23T10:01:42","date_gmt":"2021-10-23T09:01:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=87432"},"modified":"2021-10-23T10:01:42","modified_gmt":"2021-10-23T09:01:42","slug":"ipman-fingers-private-depot-owners-over-imminent-fuel-price-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/ipman-fingers-private-depot-owners-over-imminent-fuel-price-increase\/","title":{"rendered":"IPMAN Fingers Private Depot Owners Over Imminent Fuel Price Increase"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1714400319302601214\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has alerted the Federal Government over the decision by some unpatriotic private depot owners to raise prices of the product in order to cause fuel crisis in the country.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nKano IPMAN Chairman , Alhaji Bashir Danmallam, made the accusations in a statement issued in Kano.<\/p>\n<p>The statement accused some of such private depot owners of increasing the price of the commodity from N148 per litre to between N153 and N155 per litre since last Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2019The association found it necessary to alert the Government in order not to blame its members in the event they increase the price of the commodity as they would not sell the product at loss, \u2018\u2019said the statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIPMAN is accusing some private depot owners of trying to sabotage the Federal Government by unilaterally increasing their prices despite the fact that the government has not raised the fuel pump price.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; We are equally calling on the Management of the NNPC to investigate the issue as some of the private Depot owners have since last Friday jerked up the price from N148 per litre to between N153 and N155 per litre. We know it\u2019s only the Federal Government that imports fuel not private depot owners\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs at this moment private depots in Warri, Calabar\u00a0 Lagos and Oghara\u00a0 have increased their prices.
