A petition by a socio-political activist, Reno Omokri against President Muhammadu Buhari over the alleged massacre of EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate during the October 20, 2020, protest, has received over 73,000 signatures from Nigerians both home and abroad.<\/div>\n

\nRecall that a leaked report by the Lagos Panel of Inquiry set up by the State Government to investigate the allegations of killings at the Lekki Tollgate during the End SARS protest had revealed that there was massacre.<\/div>\n
\nThe report which emerged amid claim by the Federal Government that the allegations were false and aimed at tarnishing the image of the Buhari\u2019s administration, had triggered controversies from Nigerians who challenged the presidency to defend the report.<\/div>\n
\nFollowing the report which is currently being studied by the Lagos State government, the former presidential aide issued a petition on the\u00a0change.org<\/a>\u00a0platform against Buhari for allegedly ordering the Lekki shooting.<\/div>\n
\nWhen\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0visited the site on Friday morning, it was observed that about 72,779 Nigerians have signed the petition which is directed to the International Criminal Court \u2013 ICC, to prosecute the President over alleged violation of the rights of Nigerian youths.<\/div>\n
\nAccording to Reno, the petition will be submitted to the President of the ICC, Piotr Hofma\u0144ski after it receives 100k signatures.<\/div>\n
\nHe said, \u201cBy the grace of God, Buhari will retire to prison in 2023 and all future Presidents will see that there is a consequence to the mass murder of Nigerians by the state\u201d.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
