{"id":89006,"date":"2021-11-24T07:40:48","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T06:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=89006"},"modified":"2021-11-24T07:40:48","modified_gmt":"2021-11-24T06:40:48","slug":"ex-aviation-minister-fani-kayode-goes-home-after-efcc-interrogation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/ex-aviation-minister-fani-kayode-goes-home-after-efcc-interrogation\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Aviation Minister, Fani-Kayode Goes Home after EFCC Interrogation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1717290238411259188\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode after hours of extensive interrogation<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">The interrogation, it was learnt,\u00a0 was over alleged discrepancies in his medical records, which the anti-graft agency said were doctored.Fani-Kayode is standing trial with two others on a 17-count of criminal conspiracy, fraud and money laundering to the tune of N4.9 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Femi Fani-Kayode announced his release by the anti-graft body in a Facebook post on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Though he denied being arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, he was never arrested but went to honour an invitation by EFCC and was granted bail on self recognition.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote: \u201cJust arrived at the George Hotel for dinner. I was never arrested by the EFCC. I was invited &amp; I flew down to Lagos to see them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI arrived in their office at 2.00pm &amp; left at 8.30pm. I was granted bail on self recognition. They were very polite &amp; professional.
