Rochas Okorocha, the Senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly has said that the mystery of unknown gunmen in Imo state is now unravelling following the recent invasion of an Anglican church to arrest his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu by masked security officers stationed at the Imo state government house.<\/p>\n

Okorocha also accused the state Governor, Hope Uzodinma of being behind the current insecurity challenges going on in the state.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Channels TV \u201cPolitics today\u201d on Tuesday night in reaction to the arrest of his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, the former governor of the state described the situation as unfortunate, while noting that the insecurity taking place in the state had connections from Abuja.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cWhat is happening in Imo state is unfortunate. And not just Imo, but the entire nation and humanity. Imo State is becoming a banana republic, where there is complete lawlessness and where people live in fear. There is no day that somebody is not being killed, harassed.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\u201cIt appears as if the happenings in Imo state have some backing from Abuja. That\u2019s what I could figure out. And there seems to be enmity between the people here and the presumed federal government of Nigeria just because of a communication gap.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost people have been wondering about the mystery of unknown gunmen. But it appears to me now that unknown gunmen have finally been unravelled with the recent happenings.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnknown gunmen now is a set of policemen from Government House who, without the consent of the Commissioner of Police, the Inspector General of Police, or the DIGs, but on their own on the instruction of the government of Imo State, led by Hope Uzodinma, and his CSO, Shaba, who give directives to arrest people at will and lock up people at will and sometimes the whereabouts of these people are unknown. They get policemen from the Government House and go to execute unholy acts. And when they run into problems, they quickly say it is the police.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\u201cHope Uzodimma should tell the world who killed Gulak, who killed those 5 traditional rulers. The Camp of the Unknown gunmen discovered recently in Imo is less than 2 kilometres from the House of Governor Hope Uzodimma, I am shocked that as Chief Security officer of the state, he doesn\u2019t know it exists in his backyard. A Camp where 5 traditional rulers were killed, people should ask Hope\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThose officers who kidnapped Uche Nwosu brought him out of the Vehicle on their way to Enugu and wanted to shoot him, they pointed the gun at him and nearly killed him, they were speaking Hausa and didn\u2019t realize Uche speaks and understand Hausa too, what Saved him was the social media\u2026ask yourself again, who the unknown gun men in Imo State are\u201d<\/p>\n
