French winger, Ousmane Dembele, has been told by Barcelona to leave immediately after he refused to sign a new contract with the club.<\/p>\n
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, made the disclosure via a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Romano tweeted: \u201cBar\u00e7a-Demb\u00e9l\u00e9, it\u2019s over.<\/p>\n
\u201cBarcelona director Alemany announces: \u201cIt\u2019s clear that Demb\u00e9l\u00e9 does NOT want to continue with Barcelona. He doesn\u2019t want to be part of our project\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe told Demb\u00e9l\u00e9 he has to leave immediately. We expect Ousmane to be sold before Jan 31.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dembele, who would be out of contract in the summer, would be available on a free transfer if he finishes the season with Barcelona.<\/p>\n
The 2018 World Cup winner had turned down Barcelona\u2019s attempt to sign him to a new deal as the terms on the new offer were lower than his current contract.<\/p>\n
Dembele, who has been left out of Barcelona squad for Thursday\u2019s Copa del Rey match against Athletic Bilbao, joined the Spanish giants in 2017 from Borussia Dortmund for \u00a3135m a few weeks after Neymar\u2019s world-record departure to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).<\/p>\n
