Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has debunked reports that he plans to declare his intention to run for president after the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention.<\/p>\n
The APC National Convention has been scheduled to hold on February 26.<\/p>\n
There were reports earlier that Osinbajo would announce his intention to vie for the number one seat in 2023.<\/p>\n
Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, described the report as false and speculative.<\/p>\n
Akande, who made this known via his Twitter handle, noted that any information on activities and actions of the Vice President will come directly from his office and not sponsored speculations in the press.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have seen \u201cnews\u201d that VP\u2019ll announce presidential bid after APC\u2019s convention. Anyone reading the story \u2018ll know it\u2019s all false and speculative snippets.<\/p>\n
