Armed thugs have attacked the Soka residence of the Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, in Ibadan.<\/div>\n

\nSome supporters were reportedly attacked and injured during the face-off.<\/p>\n

Igboho is being detained in a prison facility in the Republic of Benin after he was arrested at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport, Cotonou, while on his way to Germany in July, 2021.<\/p>\n

The armed thugs, it was learnt, raided his house on Saturday around 3pm.<\/p><\/div>\n

\nOne of Igboho\u2019s aides, Onaolapo Ademola Omiyale, confirmed the incident in a live Facebook broadcast.<\/p>\n

He claimed that Igboho\u2019s supporters were targets of the attack.<\/p>\n

Omiyale said: \u201cSoka Junction, Sanyo, Academy, Oremeji is currently under attack, they are attacking anyone wearing Yoruba Nation Vest and Igboho\u2019s face caps.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sources in the area said there was pandemonium in the Soka community in the afternoon following sporadic gunshots.<\/p><\/div>\n

\nIn the videos, some of Igboho\u2019s supporters who reportedly confronted the armed thugs, sustained injuries.<\/p>\n

The police spokesperson in Oyo State, Adewale Osifeso, was yet to speak on the incident as at the time of filing this report.<\/p>\n

In July 2021, officers of the the Department of State Service (DSS), raided the residence of Sunday Igboho on the basis of what it claimed was credible intelligence reports that he stockpiled arms and ammunition in the place.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
