{"id":92710,"date":"2022-03-11T07:11:05","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T06:11:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=92710"},"modified":"2022-03-11T07:11:05","modified_gmt":"2022-03-11T06:11:05","slug":"nigerian-man-and-his-new-girlfriend-set-ablaze-by-ex-partner-in-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/nigerian-man-and-his-new-girlfriend-set-ablaze-by-ex-partner-in-australia\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian man and his new girlfriend set ablaze by ex-partner in Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1726955233162096930\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Nigerian man is in critical condition after his former partner and mother of his kids set him and his current girlfriend ablaze.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nStanley Obi was at his home in New Beith, in Brisbane\u2019s southern suburbs, just before 3am on Thursday, March 10, when his ex-partner, Sarah Mudge, 31, broke into the house, stormed into his bedroom and doused him and his new lover with petrol, before setting them on fire.<\/p>\n<p>According to Queensland Police, Sarah tried to set Mr Obi and his new lover on fire while his three young children were in the house.<\/p>\n<p>However, the only person the mother-of-four managed to kill was herself.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Obi\u2019s new girlfriend, 30, escaped with burns to her airway along with all three children \u2013 aged five, three and two.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Obi\u2019s burning body was dragged from the burning building by a hero neighbour known as Al.<\/p>\n<p>Al stayed with Obi, who suffered burns to 90 per cent of his body, until an ambulance came 35 minutes later.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The father remains in critical condition at Royal Brisbane Hospital.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Obi, a professional nurse, was aware that his burns were life-threatening and voiced his fear that he won\u2019t survive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe said to me, \u2018I\u2019m not going to make it, I\u2019m going to die, I\u2019m going to die, you need to help me. Help me,\u201d the neighbour recalled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was giving me his hand, reaching out to me to hold it, and I wasn\u2019t going to hold his hand because I know about infection control.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Obi\u2019s current, unnamed girlfriend and the three children have been taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Weeks before carrying out the attack, Sarah posted a Facebook message that reads: \u201cShe\u2019s not toxic bro. You made her like that. Now you think she is crazy. Your decisions reflect her actions.
