{"id":93012,"date":"2022-03-20T18:33:26","date_gmt":"2022-03-20T17:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=93012"},"modified":"2022-03-20T18:33:26","modified_gmt":"2022-03-20T17:33:26","slug":"anambra-police-boss-orders-enforcement-of-ban-on-touting-illegal-revenue-collectors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/anambra-police-boss-orders-enforcement-of-ban-on-touting-illegal-revenue-collectors\/","title":{"rendered":"Anambra Police Boss Orders Enforcement Of Ban On Touting, Illegal Revenue Collectors"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1727836411427736476\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Anambra State Police Command has ordered immediate enforcement of the ban on touting and activities of illegal revenue collectors in the state as directed by the State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nDuring his swearing-in last week, Soludo announced that the state will be weeded off of touts while announcing an end to all forms of revenue collection until the process is sanitised in the interest of the state.<\/p>\n<p>In line with the new directive by the governor, the Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng has given \u201cmarching orders to the Heads of Tactical Units, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Heads of Departments (HODs) across the Command to strictly enforce the pronouncement by state government ban on touting and self-acclaimed revenue collectors in the state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Command\u2019s spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu in a statement on Sunday, said that the CP gave the order, while enjoining the officers to \u201censure full compliance with the order especially at motor parks and other designated places within the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CP also warns all unscrupulous elements that engage in touting and other unlawful acts to desist forthwith as the Police and other security agents have been deployed around the State to arrest and bring to justice any one caught flouting this order.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CP, while reaffirming the commitment of the Command towards crime prevention, restoration of law and order, enjoins Anambra citizens and residents to be vigilant and security conscious at all times and to report all suspicious movements to the Police or, in case of any emergencies to call 112 or 07039194332 for immediate response,\u201d Ikenga said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Anambra State Police Command has ordered immediate enforcement of the ban on touting and activities of illegal revenue collectors in the state as directed by the State governor, Prof.&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":83939,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-93012","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
