{"id":93563,"date":"2022-04-02T20:32:24","date_gmt":"2022-04-02T19:32:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=93563"},"modified":"2022-04-02T20:32:24","modified_gmt":"2022-04-02T19:32:24","slug":"sheikh-khalid-suspended-for-criticising-buhari-over-kaduna-train-bombing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/sheikh-khalid-suspended-for-criticising-buhari-over-kaduna-train-bombing\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheikh Khalid suspended for criticising Buhari over Kaduna train bombing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The chief Imam of Apo Juma\u2019at Mosque in Abuja, Sheikh Nuru Khalid, has been suspended by the mosque\u2019s steering committee for criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari over Kaduna train bombing.<\/p>\n<p>The Imam, in his Friday sermon, had criticized the president for failure to visit Kaduna over the daring terrorist attack, saying condemnation wasn\u2019t enough.<\/p>\n<p>He argued that the president was in Kaduna for campaign but refused to visit the state after the bomb attack.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Everyone condemned the incident, except the bandits. So condemnation is not enough. The president should visit the state to sympathise with the victims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThe president has been to Kaduna for campaigns but couldn\u2019t go to the state on a sympathy visit,\u201d he said.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe chairman of the mosque steering committee, Sai\u2019du Dansadau, however\u00a0 said the Imam was sacked for inciting sermon on April 1.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He explained that the Imam had preached against exercising civic duty by advising voters to give conditions to political leaders before electing them.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Dansadau added that the sermon was against Islamic tenets.<\/p><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The chief Imam of Apo Juma\u2019at Mosque in Abuja, Sheikh Nuru Khalid, has been suspended by the mosque\u2019s steering committee for criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari over Kaduna train bombing.
