{"id":93617,"date":"2022-04-04T16:59:12","date_gmt":"2022-04-04T15:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=93617"},"modified":"2022-04-04T16:59:12","modified_gmt":"2022-04-04T15:59:12","slug":"omisore-replies-soyinka-directs-him-to-ask-obasanjo-who-murdered-bola-ige","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/omisore-replies-soyinka-directs-him-to-ask-obasanjo-who-murdered-bola-ige\/","title":{"rendered":"Omisore replies Soyinka, directs him to ask Obasanjo, \u201cwho murdered Bola Ige?\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">A former Osun state Deputy Governor and newly-elected national secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore has pointedly responded to Professor Wole Soyinka\u2019s direct, unsubstantiated allegation linking him to the murder of Chief Bola Ige.<\/p>\n<p>Omisore, in a statement by his media office, tells Soyinka to ask his cousin and former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who killed Chief Bola Ige.<\/p>\n<p>In the statement, Omisore rebutted claims by Professor Soyinka against him on the unresolved murder made by the Nobel laureate on the heels of his (Omisore\u2019s) emergence as All Progressives Congress, APC national secretary.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to Soyinka that he should not have been elected APC scribe, the former Osun senator said: \u201cAs brilliant as Prof Soyinka is\u2026he, no doubt, has no monopoly of wisdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the courts of the land have vindicated a man..it\u2019s naive of him, after nearly a decade to link Senator Iyiola Omisore, to further search. Civil and criminal law knowledge should tell Prof to ask his cousin; OBJ for the murderer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe world is aware of the framing of Senator Iyiola Omisore and his travails and trials facing murder charges and his subsequent acquittal and discharge almost a decade ago by a competent Court of the land. So how come any man, can still refer to him as a possible suspect.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nRecalling Soyinka\u2019s adventures in his earlier days and recent political slips, he said: \u201cIt is part of history and we are\u00a0 not too young, when we read of him (Prof) too carried a gun into a Radio station- A criminal offence against the state; yet we continue to honour him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHistory has it that the Prof as an undergraduate along with colleagues laid the foundation (Pyrates Fraternity) for today\u2019s cultism in our institutions of higher learning which today has become a cankerworm that is destroying our youths. Yet we still continue to honour him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan we also forget that Prof was appointed the chairman of education summit that gave birth to single uniform for all secondary and primary schools and Opon Imon,\u00a0 during the tenure of Aregesola-Baba kabiru as Governor of Osun state. A failed Education Policy that history will not readily forget.
