{"id":94063,"date":"2022-04-19T16:38:02","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T15:38:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=94063"},"modified":"2022-04-19T16:38:02","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T15:38:02","slug":"gunmen-abduct-5-wedding-returnees-in-anambra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/gunmen-abduct-5-wedding-returnees-in-anambra\/","title":{"rendered":"Gunmen Abduct 5 Wedding Returnees in Anambra"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Five persons have been kidnapped by gunmen on Easter Monday in Anambra State.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the five persons attended the traditional marriage ceremony of a cousin to the Anambra Commissioner for special duties, Barr Sly Ezeokenwa on their way back home.<\/p>\n<p>An alert message by the commissioner, stated that the victims were kidnapped around Akpo community in Aguata LGA at about 10pm on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>He said that no contact has been established with them or the kidnappers.<\/p>\n<p>Ezeokenwa wrote: \u201cThe following friends of my cousin \u2013 Sampson Okafor, Chidozie Eze, Franklin Osuuagu, Chijioke Uduba, Benedict Ozoagwu who visited for his traditional marriage yesterday (Monday) were kidnapped at gunpoint at about 10pm last night in Udo Village, Akpo (Aguata LGA) along Akpo \u2013 Nkpologwu road about 300m to Akpo Junction. We are yet to establish any contact with the victims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenganyia, confirmed the development.<\/p>\n<p>He said the command had launched operation to rescue the abducted persons, and that the commissioner has also been contacted over the claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe command has already made contact to the Honorable Commissioner for special duties, Mr Sly Ezeonkenwa and operation is currently ongoing for possible rescue of the victims,\u201d he said.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five persons have been kidnapped by gunmen on Easter Monday in Anambra State.
