{"id":9419,"date":"2013-02-11T21:19:23","date_gmt":"2013-02-11T20:19:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=9419"},"modified":"2013-02-11T21:19:23","modified_gmt":"2013-02-11T20:19:23","slug":"attack-on-health-workers-police-arrest-3-journalists-in-kano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/attack-on-health-workers-police-arrest-3-journalists-in-kano\/","title":{"rendered":"Attack On Health Workers: Police Arrest 3 Journalists In Kano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The police in Kano have arrested four members of staff of Wazobia Fm over their alleged role in the killing of nine female health workers.<\/p>\n<p>Those arrested were the producer, presenter and a reporter of popular Hausa programme \u201cSanda Girma\u201d of Wazobia Fm in Kano.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris who confirmed the arrest to journalists in Kano said that those in police custody include Suleiman Gama, Yakubu Musa Fagge and Malam Mubaraq.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the media workers would soon be charged to court for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to pursue this matter to its logical conclusion and I do assure you that they will be charged to court as soon as we are through with our investigations\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Vanguard learnt that the trio had last Thursday aired the weekly programme in which they raised question mark on the rationale behind the polio vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>The programme, security sources claimed, was \u201cfull of incitement and clear intention to cause breach of public peace\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, three days after the programme was aired, unknown gunmen in two separate attacks in the restive city killed nine female health workers on routine polio immunization campaign.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The police in Kano have arrested four members of staff of Wazobia Fm over their alleged role in the killing of nine female health workers.
