{"id":95035,"date":"2022-05-18T08:23:55","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T07:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95035"},"modified":"2022-05-18T08:23:55","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T07:23:55","slug":"jamb-denies-errors-in-2022-utme-scoring-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/jamb-denies-errors-in-2022-utme-scoring-system\/","title":{"rendered":"JAMB Denies Errors In 2022 UTME Scoring System"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1733146143578550401\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned the general public, particularly candidates in the just-concluded 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), to be wary of the guile and other unsavoury activities of fraudsters who are making false claims of errors in the scoring of candidates in the 2022 UTME.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe board, therefore, maintained that UTME is a computer-based test that is scored electronically with no human mediation whatsoever.<\/p>\n<p>JAMB head, public affairs and protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said in a statement yesterday that the unfounded rumours making the rounds were nothing but the products of the deceitful brains of the masterminds of the baseless imputations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHence, the board reiterates that there is no room for errors in its electronic scoring system nor does it plan to organise another UTME.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; This clarification became necessary following reports of a purported rescheduling of the UTME from a section of the social media citing phantom errors in the computer scoring system and a purported apology from JAMB to the effect that another UTME would be organised.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe board wishes to state that the report is not only false, mischievous, but also misleading and crafted out of the frustration and inability of these fraudsters to dupe unsuspecting candidates owing to the series of innovative strategies the Board had put in place to protect candidates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe public would recall that the board had envisaged some of these inglorious strategies of these nefarious individuals and had sounded a note of warning to the candidates and the general public alike so as to preclude the possibilities of them falling victims of the evil machinations of fraudsters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; JAMB, once again, advises the general public to disregard this item of news as it does not emanate from JAMB nor has it authorised any individual or group to make such a pronouncement on its behalf,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He further advised candidates to avail themselves of its user-friendly advisories on assessing their 2022 UTME results and other processes through visits to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamb.gov.ng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.jamb.gov.ng&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1652943378977000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3GL7EWd6U6V_Mbi8oAmYHC\">www.jamb.gov.ng<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"m_3358082593661400080ymail_android_signature\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned the general public, particularly candidates in the just-concluded 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), to be wary of the guile and other&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":84226,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-95035","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
