{"id":95041,"date":"2022-05-18T08:31:54","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T07:31:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95041"},"modified":"2022-05-18T08:31:54","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T07:31:54","slug":"2023-presidential-primary-not-shifted-apc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/2023-presidential-primary-not-shifted-apc\/","title":{"rendered":"2023: Presidential Primary Not Shifted \u2013 APC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1733146595793902421\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated its screening committees for the state House of Assembly and special congress to elect local government, state and national delegates.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\nThe party also spurned media reports suggesting that it has shifted the date for its presidential primary from May 30-June 1 to May 28-30.<\/p>\n<p>An online media had last week quoted impeccable sources within the presidency who it said confirmed that the ruling party has moved back its presidential primary election to hold between 28 and May 30, instead of the original date of May 30 to June 1, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>But in a statement issued by the party\u2019s national publicity secretary, Barr Felix Morka, APC described the report as fake news.<\/p>\n<p>Morka noted that the party\u2019s timetable\/schedule of activities for the 2023 elections remain as earlier published.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the governorship primary election will hold on -Friday, 20th of May, 2022 while that of the state House of Assembly will take place on Sunday, 22nd of May, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the primary election for House of Representatives is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 2022, while that of Senate is expected to take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Stating that the party\u2019s presidential convention will hold from Monday, May 30 to June, 2022, Morka noted that in the event where an adjustment becomes necessary, such changes would be communicated via the party\u2019s communication channels.<\/p>\n<div id=\"m_5075981307068323882ymail_android_signature\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated its screening committees for the state House of Assembly and special congress to elect local government, state and national delegates.
